This is an article about Juan Gaspar-Garcia, a man with Down syndrome being detained and held in an Immigration facility. He is Guatemalan-born, but moved to the United States to be cared for by his family members once his mother died in Guatemala when he was 14 years old.  ICE officials snatched Mr. Gaspar-Garcia at work on a random raid along with his brother. His sister, and main caregiver, is pleading for his immediate release. She worries and explains that he may not be aware of the situation he is in and may be experiencing a lot of shock and fear. ICE officials have responded to her plea by stating that Juan Gaspar-Garcia is in the country illegally and that the law does not leave out any categories of people. I am horrified to realize that no one is safe from the illegal immigration crusades that are going on.

This article exposes yet another sad deportation story that is tearing an American family apart. Buba Jabbi came to the US in 1995 and stayed once his visa expired. With no criminal record and a steady job, he was able to live and work in America as long as he checked in with Immigration services annually. Mr. Jabbi thought he would be attending his usual meeting when he was unexpectedly deported with no reason other than an order given back in 2010. He was forced to leave behind his two daughters under the age of five and his pregnant wife. The country is removing a hard-working American man, who pays his taxes and supports his young, growing family.
